About Deb

Let me start by introducing myself!  My name is Debbie Applebaugh-Helus.  I live in Colby, KS which is a wonderful little rural town!  After working in retail for 36 years, I brought my dream of owning my own shop to life!  It started with Gifts and Gift Baskets by Deb where I designed gift baskets and sold small gift items.  It slowly grew into pop-up events and a business page on Facebook!  The pop-up events turned into a small store in my living room, but I quickly wanted to reclaim my home.  ​

Instead of the high overhead cost of renting a retail space, I chose to put a small building on my land and Deb’s Dandy Little Shop was born!  Growing from simple gift baskets to a full store with décor, signs, candy bouquets and Rada Cutlery and quick mixes.  

My dandelion logo is representative of my dreams. When I was a child, I used to blow the dandelion seeds off the stem like I was blowing out a birthday candle hoping my special wish would come true.  Each seed of the dandelion blows away with the hopes of being planted and growing – just as I have planted my seed and my dream business is growing.  It has taken over 6 years to reach this point and I am blessed by everyone who supports my dream! ​
